The CHPCS PTA is hosting an auction fundraiser in May to raise funds that will be used to directly impact student experiences.  I know we've had a lot of fundraisers this year, and we don't expect every person to participate in every fundraiser. Our hope is that you will help where you can and when you can. Each class was asked to do two things. The first was to create an art project to be auctioned off. We will be working on our art project in class this coming Friday. The second was to create a themed basket to be auctioned off. Yesterday the class brainstormed possibilities and came up with the theme "Anti Stress".  We also brainstormed a list of possible items to fill the basket. Spoon Drive

Can you spare a spoon or two?  Cascade is one of only two schools in the district that still uses metal reusable silverware.  Over the last few years, most of our spoons have wandered off, and we are now using disposable spork packets.  Cascade Heights takes pride in being resourceful and caring for the environment. If every child brought in one or two reusable metal spoons (metal handles,too, please), our spoon population would once again be robust.  There will be a collection container outside second grade.  Thank you for your help!  The spoon drive runs from Monday, February 23 to Wednesday, February 25.

2nd Annual Spring Cleaning Day

Second annual spring cleaning!  Save the date! Saturday, April 18th, 2015  If you are like many families at Cascade, it is difficult to give of your money and  time during the school week.  Please join us in giving back as we spruce up the inside and outside of our school.  Stay a few hours, or pack a picnic lunch and stay the day!  A great opportunity for children who need to complete service hours!  More details to come.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Currey.
